North Haven School operates a coed special education program for students ages 6-18 in grades K–12. North Haven School is certified by the California Department of Education Nonpublic School and Agencies Unit and is under contract with the Mendocino County Office of Education and a variety of other school districts.

North Haven School provides its students with an excellent learning environment. The average class size is 8 to 10 students and the staff to student ratio is 1 to 5. Each classroom is certified with a full-time education specialist and an instructional paraprofessional. North Haven School is also staffed by an office manager, dean of students, and a site principal. The small class size and excellent staff to student ratio allows each student at North Haven School to receive the assistance and instruction necessary for them to achieve their academic goals and objectives.

Academic skills, behavioral interventions, and social skills training are some of the tools implemented at North Haven School on a daily basis and help to ensure the success of our students as they transition back to public school and/or into adulthood.
