Hill View School operates a coed special education program for students ages 5 - 18 in grades K-12. Hill View School is certified by the California Department of Education Nonpublic School and Agencies Unit.

Hill View School provides its students with the best possible learning environment. Each classroom is staffed with a full-time teacher and instructional paraprofessional. Our small class sizes and excellent staff ratio allow us to focus on helping our students develop skills and confidence they will use for years to come.

Academic skills, behavioral interventions, social skills training, and self-efficacy development are some of the tools used at Hill View School to ensure the success of our students and provide them the opportunity for a bright future.

Teachers at Hill View School utilize thematic instruction. By organizing the subject matter curricula around a theme, units of study take our students on a journey through language arts, science, social studies/history, and mathematics.

Parent involvement is a priority at Hill View School. To help facilitate communication between parents/guardians and school personnel, a variety of methods are used. Daily and weekly reports, incident and accident reports, schedule reminders, IEP goals progress reports and report cards are a sampling of the communication methods used by Hill View School to help keep parents/guardians informed and involved. Regular contacts by the principal and school staff provide the personal contact necessary for a home/school partnership.

Hill View School prepares and empowers all of our students to be motivated learners, clarify career and lifestyle planning goals, and develop respect for others. We take pride in our students and their abilities to succeed.
