Welcome to Solon Schools Group
We know that every parent wants the best education for their child. We also know that every parent wants the ability to choose the education option that will provide an environment of safety, warmth and encouragement that fulfills each child's individual needs.
Solon Schools Group was created to provide families with a choice. Our schools are dedicated to the development of children who will realize their full potential academically, physically, emotionally and socially. This can only be achieved by acknowledging the individuality of each child, while teaching them respect, responsibility and interaction with their peers.
At Solon Schools Group we strive to create schools where learning is relevant and exciting. Setting high expectations and rewarding positive behaviors further increase student motivation and achievement. The end result: Students who have been empowered to lead successful, productive lives, and lifelong learners who are able to effectively apply knowledge to daily life experiences.
Solon Schools have been designed to emphasize fundamental skills such as mathematics, reading, writing and critical thinking. We believe that individualism and talent are inherent in every child. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere that will foster intellectual and creative abilities.
Teachers, staff and administration at your Solon Schools are dedicated to providing a sound academic education in an environment that is supportive and caring. This attitude encourages academic growth as well as increases self-esteem.
Our mission is to provide each child and family we serve with quality educational programs and services in a caring, supportive and nurturing environment so they may be empowered to lead successful and productive lives.
We Believe:
The Solon Schools Group curriculum is defined by our high academic expectations and has been carefully aligned to meet or exceed state and national standards. These standards are incorporated into learning objectives and are further defined by proven instructional techniques and evaluation methods that are varied and adapted to individual student needs and learning styles. Teaching to mastery is the goal.
Our students average two months' academic growth for every month of instruction. This is a goal that most programs serving students in a typical school setting have difficulty achieving. It is, however, a realistic goal which has proven successful at our schools, a goal that is measured by regular student assessment.
Solon Schools Group is a division of Advanced Education Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public-benefit corporation. AES was established in 1989 to serve the needs of exceptional children. Solon Junior Academy Charter School - Chandler offers the finest choice in tuition-free education. We believe school is much more than reading, writing and arithmetic. It is a place for social interaction, friendship and for learning the boundaries of positive and acceptable behavior.

It is the Solon Schools philosophy that every administrator, teacher and staff member promotes the educational needs of our students in a caring environment. Each staff member seeks the opportunity to inspire, direct and guide our students and to provide role models for the future as they mature mentally and physically. Using an interdisciplinary approach, teachers make learning more coherent, meaningful and enjoyable to students. Students are challenged to draw knowledge from several disciplines to solve "real world' problems and are encouraged to present their ideas through a variety of means. Regardless of the subject, emphasis is placed on cognitive development, learning strategies, study skills and academic progress.
Technology is incorporated into curriculum, instruction and assessment and students have ready access to a wide range of electronic tools, network media and a rich assortment of appropriate internet resources.
Smaller Class Sizes, Individualized Instruction, an Elevated Academics Curriculum, Creative Learning Systems® SmartLab, and a Student-Centered Environment are just a few of the reasons families are choosing Solon Junior Academy.
"As a family moving to Arizona from a state with no charter school option, we were very excited by this concept. We did extensive research as a family and toured many schools. We found that the quality of schools available varies widely. Solon by far stood out as an example of what a charter school can and should be. We were impressed from the start with the caliber of teachers, small class size, and individual attention that each student receives. We have also gained many friends at Solon that we are very close with".

"Solon is a school that allows for students to work at their own pace and their own level. It gives students standards based education that helps to increase standardized test scores. It’s a wonderful place to send students who often get lost in the enormous public classrooms."
